I just set up this tank. I am happy with the way it looks and thought i would share with everyone!:D

The only fish in this tank is 50 cardinal tetra's and 20 Corydoras Sterbai's.

I have some room for more fish, any idea's?

Hey Ben

Nice tank!

IMO - I love groups of 12 rummynose, gold tetras, harlequin rasboras.

When they group and play together - just a pleasure to watch.

What size tank is it?

IMO you need a few BN. A amazon tank wouldnt be the same without them.

Perhaps a few black widows? Along with some rummynose?

I think you need a couple of these Hydrolicus scomberoides ;)

i think you should just keep it to 1 species of tetras, if you want add more cardinals.

i recon some nice apistos would go great in there along with 2 or 3 clown plecs and some peppermint bn.

if that was my tank i would also put some hatchet fish in there.

i would like to see a bit more vegetation :D

I love the DW in the amazon tank Ben but I think sand would've been better as substrate.
And I thought Anubias was African???

Good suggestion Chris! Might be a bit hard to really meet their dietary requirements tho.

the bulk of their diet is comprised of piranhas

Ben that Jebo looks stunning with those Cardinals in it.

So you're now going to try a marine tank.

I'll have to come over and see it ASAP as you know I've been thinking about doing one of those.

I tend to agree with Rob on this one Benny, the pebble mix doesn't do it for me :P Great if your redoing the driveway, but I think 16/30 white sand would look alot cooler :D

Cheers,

Dee :D

ben with the marine setup mate the live rock needs to be setup openly so the water can flow through it
otherwise eventually you will get a build up or a dead spot on the rock wich will copunter act any good the live rock is doing for you
