Hello All,

I was just wondering if anyone else on the forum has used Drs Foster and Smith, and what their experience was? Here is there web address:

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/

I live in the US and I have purchased from them a couple of time. I think their prices and customer service are excellent. I order all of my filter media, decor, and chemicals from them.

Is there any other company out there comperable to Drs Foster and Smith?

What do you all think :?:

Hi,

I have heard from friends in the states that use them that they are very good but i doubt you will get much of an opinion from people here as most of us use our local on line stores.

I buy from them all the time. Their price is kind of high but service is great.

You can try other sites such as bigals and amazon. As for chemicals, I sometime do a google and go for the lowerest price since they all come from the same maker anyway.

Thanks FishLover and MAC,

I will check out big als and do some price comparisons.

Is it possible to buy directly from the producers? Has anyone done this???

Manufacturers rarely sell to small consumers. Better to have a look at the online stores.

Also, try marinedpot. But I always buy mine from Drs. Their customer service is very good, and for the most part, their price is excellent. You can find a cheaper price on a certain product else where, but overall, it all evens out.
