The new “Smartstart SS UV‘s” have been designed taking technology one further step in using “Smartstart” lamps (with a life expectancy of 9000 hours) a great gain in light output efficiency is possible due to the lamps integral ballast which by default offers consistent performance throughout the year when compared to conventional lamps with remote ballasts. Couple this benefit to the “Smartstarts” spiral flow and highly reflective polished wall finish of the heavy gauge body, and the end result is a truly superb UV.
The efficiency of “Smartstarts” are such that the lamp wattage can afford to be reduced even beyond those specified within Cloverleaf’s standard SS UV’s. As an example a 72watt “Smartstart” is equivalent to a 90w standard SS unit.
