Simple question, with a not so simple answer :D

A juvenile can be anything from just past the fry stage to a young pre adult.

I think most people describe their juveniles by size as well, so a 2 inch juvenile is a very different fish from a 4 inch juvenile. Six inches is usually regarded as full grown.

Size is measured from the front of the fish i.e. the mouth, to the start of the tail. Fins are not included.
