Hello All
My discus tank is almost ready...One of my friend has a few pieces of wood which he referred to as sea wood...Is there anything like that? if yes can it be used with dicus?

The wood he woyuld be referring to is driftwood ...

Its fantastic for a discus tank as it lowers pH ...

Soak if for a few weeks before putting it in your tank.

It will remove the excess salt, and will help the piece to sink. Driftwood that has been collected from the beach, usually floats for a very long time.

It will be ideal for your discus tank.

brilliant as he has quiet a lot of pieces which are spare i will get them asap :)

Make sure it is hard wood and clean of any soft rotton part.

The best thing is to boil it for few hours. That will take most of the salt out and make it ready for your tank sooner.
