I am thinking about getting into the discus and thought I would join this board for some knowledge. I have gave my 20 gallon reef setup to a friend of mine and I thought of setting up a 20 gallon high with 2 discus. I actually thought that it would be too small. I read a couple places that you could keep 1 adult for every 10 gallons. I really dont know anything about keeping them. I will be doing lots of searches on the forum. Right now I just want to make sure that 2 adults would be fine in a 20 gallon tank. Thanks

You have read correctly 1 adult per 10 gallon although if you havent got the tank yet maybe you might want to get a bigger one so then you can get more of these beauties....:-)

I actually just gave him the contents inside and since I have a cabinate nice stand I was just going to replace the old tank with a new tank. It really would be nice to have a larger tank.

Thanks

Two discus should be alright ... however it would far more ideal if you could buy a 2x18x18 tank or even better a 2ft cube ... :P

My stand is 2x18". I really like the Oceanic cubes but that gets in much more money especially since I already have a very nice stand.
Thanks

I did a search at all glass and they make a 25 gallon and a 30 tall that would fit on the stand. Any other suggestions.

Thanks
