Hi Guys, I just recently purchaseed T5 light for my tank..(4 light tubes)..How ever, it came with 4 x 14000k tubes...seems not ideal for the planted tank....I might need to get some 6000k and 12000k tubes?? Please suggest where to buy them...and which brand is good...I live in Sydney....
Thanks in advance..

Should I keep the 2 x 14000k tubes and just buy 2x 6000k tubes??

I have the same setup but in the 3ft model (HO Globes).

I am pretty sure that if you change your globes you can go for the 54w 4ft tubes as they are the HO option.

I kept my 14k tubes and am extremely happy with my plant growth, guess it comes down to personal choice in the end because IMO when you have that much wattage over a tank and your plants are supplied with everything they need the temp of the globe will only create negligable gains.

Then again thats just my opinion.

Are you happy with the light you bought? I havnt had troubles as yet, and for the price I dont think you can go wrong.

No problem at all... he send the goods via fastway.... the only problem is ..no one home to pick up the goods.....and sign for it...took me extra 3 days to organize delivery with fastway....but the rest...is pretty much hassel free....

basically...it's 4ft light...but inside use 3 ft tubes...
I won't complain as it will save me on electricity bill...and still work better than my old 3x 4ft tubes..

ATI and deltec tubes are one of the best on the market if you could find them, warn you they are not cheap though.
