Hi all
i have some fry that are nearly 5 weeks old but over the last few days i have been losing 3 to 4 or a day for no apparent reason they seem to stop eating get weak and die.my water seems good nitrates 5-10 ammonia 0 ph 7.0 temp 30 and have been doing 20% water chages each day. any thoughts why this might be happening.

cheers andrew

probably flukes. cant say. next time try putting a uv in the tank. also the sooner you seperate the fry the less chance of disease spreading.

My guess is flukes, it's not the lack of water changes, that won't kill them. If you're losing 3-4 a day then there is either something very wrong with your water or you have parasites.

Praziquantel at .5mg per litre of water. You can go to .8 but I wouldn't recommend it with young fry or juveniles.
