Hi all,

Im planning to make 3tier for 3 foot.

What sort of filtration to think best for this setup ?

Sump ? Individual filter on each tank ?

Any comments or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks

IMHO i prefer Individual filters on tank becuase if you get a disease in 1 tank it can spread to all of them..

Depends what fish ur having in the tanks but you can have just sponges in them or maybe have so small canisters on them instead..

Yeah atm Im thinking to have a sponge filter running on each tank as well as the sump.

So if 1 tank get disease, I can shut down the sump for one tank and still have the sponge filter running. Just like in the fish shop.

Thanks for the input anyway.

V.

What sort of fish do u wish to keep in each tank?

Depending on fish species..this will help determine whats the best filtration.

As far as all the tanks connected to a sump if the water goes through a UV this should keep any pathogens at bay.

Hm angelfish, catfish, cory, dicus ....

Maybe will add some later.

I was thinking to just use sponge filter on each tank, what do you guys think ? Of course I will keep up with the water change.

Thanks
