The other night I witnessed the most bizaare thing I have ever seen. One of my Discus was having trouble swimming, like he was trying to get to the bottom but couldn't. After observing him for a while I then saw bubbles coming out of his mouth. Like he had just had a big burp. (Actually he looked like an airstone). Anyway he did this about 3 times in an hour and then he was fine and has been ever since. Has anyone ever seen anything like that happen before and what would have caused it.

haven't seen burps before, but I have seen my fish farting .... which is quite common ... in more than one way ;)

I have seen this happen numerous times with my mbuna ..

Fish go up to the surface to feed, gulp some air in their mouths and then swim funny for a few hours till the air is released ...

HTH :D
