Hi all

some of my fish seem to have a "bleeding" nose! Can you relate this to a condition, or are they just pushing each other toooooo much :?: It doesn't seem to be life threthening, but if it is a condition I would try to treat it.
Thanks

i have read of discus getting 'blood noses' (looks like your pic) from running into the glass etc at high speed. do you know if they have done this recently? if it was from this it isnt normally life threatening and will go away on its own from what ive read.

I don't think they smashed into the glass (although they could have), but they certainly push and shove each other on a regular basis.

Hi John, it can also be a bacterial infection of the nasal cavity.

Tri Sulphur should fix it. :P
