my four foot tank is alimost complete in I Need to add the water son.
I msetiin comunity tank so whats best gravel or sand.
I have mostly Angel dfish few cardinals.2 Plecs 3 orange and black forget the name 2 plecs and 4 gouramis

NO THEY ARE IN MY 3 FT AS I SAID MY NEW 4FT IS ABOUT READY SO I NEED TO KNOW WHATS BEST SAND OR GRAVEL BEFORE I ADD WATER

whatever is authetically pleasing mate
put what you want in there
it also depend son if you are going to have plants
what sort of fish you have ect ect

so maybe using a fine sand or some sort of subtrate eg: laterite , ada soil , JBL aquasol ect to aid in your plants growth
maybe even puttinga co2 system in place again to aid in your plants growth
