View Full Version : Can you take fish on as hand luggage?

As said above, can you? Im flying up to QLD in about 2 weeks and should have some spare time on my hands .. im keen on picking up some Angelfish, BN, plecos etc ... Just a few common bits and pieces ..

Now im sure i've read in a post of ladyred's that you can take fish on as hand luggage .. Is this true? :?:

Yep, I have taken them in a small esky type bag. Best to ring the airline first the check, but I had no trouble with Virgin.

As was mentioned ring the airline first, I think it may only be a problem depending on water volume. With angels or several fish you may exceed the determined safe water quantity, airlines can be a bit funny about water seeping into the electricals :lol: :shock: , ring first.

and i have a pleco, peppermint bn and other assorts/common fish im selling too, sooooooooooo you might just be in luck ;)

FYI,

im pretty sure Ben has a ton of Angel fish and Lady red does too!

well shipping costs shouldnt amount more than say $80- 100

If they sell you angels cheap simply buy more and sell them off .

I know it can be a headache but i wouldnt have mentioned it of they werent selling cheap anyway :)
