Hey all, got my order from APW this arvo :D
Now the crypts have come in nice little baskets packed with wooly stuff, is it called rockwool ?)
Do i take the plants out of it and put them in the substrate or do i leave them in and it will break down over time ?
Shall just put them in the tank tonight till i get a response, having never planted crypts before.

Roy

PS. there will be tank pics up soon once i get a few more plants in.

Personally I try and remove as much of the wool as possible. It should come off very easily.

What crypts did you get?

I got the following crypts: Petchii, Tropica and Lutea.
Also picked up some: Limnophila sessiliflora ('Ambulia') and Rotala wallichii.
Also have a Aponogeton madagascariensis (Lace Fern) on backorder as they didnt have any in stock.
Planted them all out last night (much to the GFs dissapointment at being ignored for 2 hours) and its looking rather good.
There was already some Anubias on wood that i propogated this year in the tank, and that has created some shaded spots, so i didnt plant the crypts there. A few bare patches have resulted, will wait for some growth to plant the next expansion, and the lace fern when it arrives :D
