Hi

I have a couple of adult discus and they have recently been having problems with flukes and i have tryed prazi with no effect.
I know think the flukes have become to the immune to prazi.
I'm now thinking of treating with Salt i currently have 1 teapsoon per 20L water.

I was thinking of using Waterlife Sterazin just not sure if this won't have any effect.

I'm stumped to what to do the fish are now in a BB tank and get 50% w/c everyday at the moment.

PH:6.0
KH:0 - 1
GH:0
Nitrate: 5ppm
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm

What do u guys suggest to battle flukes..

Thanks

If it's flukes the Prazi should take care of it, and salt is only recommended for discus at a rate of 1 teaspoon per 40 litres of water, so it is already double the reccomendation.

i'd try put them in a sterile tank first and then treat with prazi or formalin. then nuke the old tank before putting them back in. if you use a little bit of salt along with the fluke treatment, it is more effective.
