Hi guys I want to get discus soon and I was wondering wat kind of conditioners or buffers will be a good idea to keep discus in and wat is the best product out there to use?
Also wat is the best food to feed dicus's?

Melbourne water is already very soft from what I remember, and it is soft water that Discus prefer, so Peat or similar to water soft should not be needed. Keep a PH of around 6.5 approx or lower, but if you want a well planted tank closer to PH 7.0 is ideal. What conditioners and or buffers may or may not be needed, it depends on what the water chemistry is like already and whether you are going to run Co2 or not. If the water continuosly becomes too acidic then buffers may be needed ?

So long as the water is nice and soft, the PH not too high, the temperature at 28 to 30 degrees celcius, good filtration and frequent water changes then all should be OK, frequent water changes are the key to success usually, at least 40% water change twice a week.
