Two of my discus, the one in my avatar and a Red Leopard of the same size are constantly spawning in my community tank, they seem to do it every 3 weeks or so, this is now the sixth time that I know of. Both fish are around 4 inches in size, too young to be spawning as far I'm concerned { teenage lovers, just cant be told :lol: }, I'm not expecting anything to come of it in the tank they are in, and I'm not fussed whether they do or not, but here's my question...................if they constantly spawn at their young age and size, will they literally wear themselves out prematurely before reaching adult size ? :lol:

i dont think they will unless they are actually rearing fry every time

Well the reason I asked actually was that a lot of fish, and noticeable in my breeding Angels is that fertility decreases after several spawns and there seems to be more weaklings born after several spawns ?
