Can you see the milt when the male releases it ?

I have watched several confirmed pairs spawn and have never been able to see the milt. Which made me wonder about a post I read a few days back where they said they could readily see the milt.

Can you see it ??? :?

Of the hundreds of times my discus pairs spawned, I never saw any milt ejaculated from the male discus.

This is because I kept my distance whilst the spawning was in progress.

I dun see any milt even i video it when they're spawning in the front glass wall of the tank. :?

I've never seen it happen in discus either, but that's not to say it isn't possible.

I have witnessed it in larger cichlids, and the milt is like a small white cloud that dissipates in the water very quickly, so yes, it's possible, but it's rare to actually witness it.
