Hi all,
Many thanks to all on this forum. It's a great read and I've learned heaps.

Below are photos of my tank (1st since I was a kid), and a couple of the inhabitants...

Let me know what you think.

Cheers,
Neil

Awesome driftwood.

Where did you get it?

Bought the large piece at Coburg Aquarium, I live in Brunswick(Melbourne)so it is only 5 minutes away. Others with plants are from Subscape Richmond (100 metres from work :) )

Thanks. I got this bloke from Subscape in Richmond. They called him a red tiger turq, don't know if this is a recognised strain or not.

They have just recently got an importers licence and have some amazing discus now, not cheap though

Thanks for the kind words Rick. There have been a couple of small disasters along the way too

Tank is a copy of a Jebo 4 footer; 280 litres. I have 3x3 foot T8 triphospour globes (6200K fro m memory) on for 11 hours a day plus 2 blue led's to mimic moonlight(looks creepy 8-) ). Ferts are 25-28 drops of watleys liquid fert once a week ans 5ml of flourish excel every 2 days. w/c is 20% once or twice a fortnight as time permits (work plus spending time at gf's). Filtration is eheim canister 2217? and an eheim internal pick up(directed at rear glass). Plants are mostly swords and abubius plus some large java fern. I had a really nice red lotus but my kribs seemed to like it too  . It's starting to grow back so hopefully all is not lost there.
I'm hopefully moving to a new house in about 6 weeks. The gf has said only 1 more tank, she has a 80 litre with mostly livebearers. I'm thinking about one of those 2m one's that Coburg Aquariums import

Trying to post a larger format picture. What res do you guy's use? If I use 72dpi the photo is too small when reduced to 120K. Below is 50dpi.

Very nice driftwood 8-)

Welcome to the forum. That fish is a pigeon blood strain. Sometimes called a pearl pigeon.

Would you like to post some pictures of your fish?

We'd love to see them.
