Hi all,

Just took some snaps quickly with a softbox and a 70-200 2.8 IS USM lens... Been waiting to use this lens for ages!

Anyway, its not the best lens for fish photography considering you have to be far away from the tank, however i thought it was acceptable...

I also never use flash because it is normally to harsh, however, with a softbox, it turned out pretty nice...

70-200 lens no flash:

With softbox:

Ill try to nail a decent photo with the 70-200 soon... for now, i hope you enjoy the fish!
Cheers,

Shev

Okay, I'll be the one to ask ........... what's a softbox?

Wonderful pics by the way, and your fish are lovely.

Lovely stuff! Although I agree with taksan about the gear which will allow you to bump up both shutter speed and aperture.

a softbox is a diffuser, if you dont have one you can use some butter paper over the flash or use a light bounced off a piece of styrofoam as fill. its very simple with digital cameras coz what you see is what u get.
