discus crossbreeding help?

i was wondering if discus tend to breed with those of the same colour strain
or will they readily breed with different coloured discus
ie is it possible to cross a red and blue based discus

All discus can and will cross breed ...

Makes no difference if there is another discus of the same colour in the tank - a discus will choose whoever it likes best.... :lol:

its just i heard somewhere they will tend to breed with discus that look similar to themselves

That's half true, because he/she will breed with similar partner. If he/she won't have similar partner he/she will breed with any kind of colour disc.

Yes they will...it doesnt make much difference to fish....
