How do you know when?

How do you know when your tank is fully cycled? is it when theres no traces of ammonia?

also is there any way to speed up the process?

ive been changing the water an putting water from another ''mature'' tank is this ok?

any help would be great, thanx

The tank is fully cycled when the ammonia and nitrite levels drop down to zero. Adding water or filter media from a mature tank will speed up the process. HTH.

yea ive added a mature HOB filter from another tank aswel, anyway wasnt 100% sure so i thought id ask, thanx heaps
