i had a dramatic increase in fertility rate after making a little effort by finally unpacking and setting up a sponge filter .  the female lays around 250 eggs on average.

1st round all turned white.
2nd round bout 30 wrigglers, had to sacrifice them coz the female got finrot.
3rd round only 10-15 eggs were bad, so i probably have 200+ wrigglers.

the've moved the little people to the back of the cone so i have had to squeeze the camera into a corner to get a pic.
the funny and cute part is that the've even moved the bad eggs to the other side hehe, i removed them from the back today.

quite thrilled, expecting free swimmers tomorrow, fingers crossed.

now they are keeping a close eye on my hand when i try to syphon leftovers. hehehe anyone else and the male smashes into the glass trying to attack. he's even trying to get at the fish in the other tank so i've put some paper in the middle.

they are all doing fine. all attached ok. parents collect the strays. what good luck. will post pictures when they are slightly larger coz the pair have turned black and the fry dont show up in the pics. plus the parent thats resting, keeps getting in the way trying to attack the camera.

Way to go, samir...........
It's their natural instinct. Protecting their precious fries...........
Don't disturb them too much or they'll end up eating all their fries......
Keep us updated.
