I'd say they are the same.

Slightly different.

Blue turk has striations running down its side (pattern) whereas brilliant blue doesnt always have a pattern, or may have a pattern largely just over the gill plate.

I have only heard of one type of blue discus referred to as "Brilliant". It is a classic strain and has unbroken striations running horizontally kind of like royal discus.

Similar to these

Do you have pics of of what you are trying to describe?

There is not a brillant blue turk from what ive heard....most likely just a name used to make more $$$...

A brillant blue also has a lighter blue colour and less striations on its body...

Brilliant Blues would be a blue turq derivative, so I can see why that name would be used.

Hi, thanx for the replies. I asked the question because i bought a brilliant blue discus from OAFI. And then when i was looking up information on it in this forum people caulled the brilliant blue discus a brilliant blue turq, so i was wondering if they are two different kinds of discus. However i dont think there is such thing as a brilliant blue turq.
