I HAVE A 2 WEEK OLD BATCH OF PIGION BLOODS, ITS THE FIRST TIME THE PARENTS HAVNT EATEN THE YOUNG AND THEY ARE GETTING PRETTY FAT BUT I CANT GET THE BRINE SHRIMP TO HATCH, I KNOW IT SOUNDS STUPID BUT THE SALINITY LEVEL IS GOOD, THE WATER IS WARM, THEY ARE IN AN UPSIDEDOWN COKE BOTTLE WITH AIRATION GOING IN THROUGH THE LID TO CIRCULATE THE EGG AND THERES MAYBE 20 HATCHED FROM 1000 EGGS... ANY IDEAS... I DONT WANT TO LOOSE THIS BATCH

If all the above it correct it simply means the artemia cysts have been compromised.

Buy a new packet and give it a try.

Are you using baking soda?
(Sodium bicarbonate - NaHCO3)

The brine shrimp come from an environment with VERY hard water with extemely HIGH pH.

I had good results mixing two tablespoons of salt, two teaspoons of baking soda per gallon of water. Using more salt and baking soda is probably better I havent experimented much.
