hey does anyone know how long the lamp should last around for a 12w lamp its an AA uv steriliser, does anyone know?

I believe the quality lamps such as Philips, DeBary, Pentair etc should last 9-16mths before needing to be replaced (12mths on average). The cheaper Chinese made lamps should be replaced every 6-9 months to maintain maximum UV efficiency.

(the lifespan also is reduced if you turn the unit on and off frequently)
