Last night when I turned the lights off on the tank, about 10 minutes later I saw something float to the bottom. I turned the lights back on and saw this thing wriggling. So I pulled it out. The only way I can describe it is that it looks like a centipede. It is probably about 1in long, brown, with lots of little legs and it was moving. What could it be, and where did it come from and how did it get there. Does anyone have any ideas. It has got me really worried, so today I am going to pull everything out and have a look around.

Hope someone can explain.

Thanks

A picture would be good.

It would help indentify more accurately.

Unfortunatley I do not have a camera to take a photo.

It looks similarto the black millipede, but with this one it's body looks like it has little lumps all over it, and its tail or its face (I don't know which is the front or back) looks like it has little nippers on it. It also looks like it has little white eyes. The top part of it is brown and underneath where the legs are is pink. Hope that helps.

How about these then...

If the legs were really long I would say:

Hi Serkan, It looks very similar to the Chilopoda but it has tiny little legs. It looks more like a caterpillar without the hair.
