I been a angelfish breeder for yearrs, and recently have closed shop on that for a nice break. I have kepted discus before, and I am converting a 72 gallon bow front saltwater tank to discus tank.
I have well water that comes out 7.8ph. I plan on having the tank barebottem, with a can filter under it. I plan on using a plastic garbage can for water cycleing and have a couple ?'s on using peat. I was thinking of adding peat to the garbage can to deal with the ph. anyone else do something like this? what kind of peat do you use? were u get it? and how often do you change the peat out?
