Does anyone use Denilit? At the pet store they said that thats thh state of the art at the biological filters. I replaced the ceramic noodles at one of my cannisters today, with 1lt of Denilit stones. I curious to see the results, and to hear at any comments if anyone uses that kind of filter media.

I have not seen it down here, however being a rock based (cintered glass) compound it should be fine...

Denilit (deni from denitrification and lit from lithos = stone) is a filter material made from highly porous natural lava rock. Due to its highly porous structure, Denilit is an excellent medium for growing waste decomposing bacteria. Nitrate may even be decomposed in the core of the rocks by denitrifying bacteria.
