Hi all, just wondering if anyone know where to get the cheapest feeder fish in Sydney ??

I guess the question to ask would be, how big do you need your feeders to be?
If time or space aren't an issue then I suggest:
2ft tank, small heater, air driven sponge filter, hand full of guppies, lots of floating fake plants to hide in ... in a short time it's a pretty cheap and productive live food setup for getting feeder fish ;)

i know someone but you'll probably have to take a couple of hundred at a time. there was someone else at strathfield, i think. do a google search. its on one of the oz pet classifieds

100 guppies = $25.00
200 guppies = $50.00
300 guppies = $90.00
400 guppies = $110.00

Size
Large: 25mm to 35mm
Small: 10mm to 20mm

Guppie would be too small i think.
Maybe a size of medium comets (3-5cm) :P

these are the prices for a wholesaler I know, he'll be back in town next week, you will probably have to buy about 100-200 at a time, i'm not sure,the prices may vary a little.
Comets 4-5cm 0.80
Comets 6-8cm 1.80
Comets 9-10cm 2.50
Comets 12-14cm 4.50
Comets 14-17cm 7.00

Guess I'll buy 4 x 100 guppies for $100 then and save $10 :D

DR.V, join your local Koi club, im sure they got some to spare. I recommend the Koi Society of Australia. Once you have joined, ask around. In breeding season, they usually get rid of thousands, best time to grab them off them.

4-5 cm colourless comets at 50 cents each. thats the cheapest I could find.
