Hello,

I would recommend the Hydor external linline heaters, they come in 200W and 300W and work a treat.

AOA, a DF.com sponsor stocks them at a good price.HTH

Cheers,

Dee.

Thanks D and Spencer. I will be adding the Hydor 300 to my shopping cart. Now how about recommending a UV-C for me hmmmm?
I was leaning towards the Pondmaster UV-C 36w. Anyone got one of these?

I have a de-bary UVS and it is great. The water is crystal clear and my discus have never been more healthy. They might cost more but you get what you pay for.

Yeah got 6 of the 36w pondmasters and I rate them equal to the Debary's at half the price.

As per Taksans reply, I have both DeBary & Pondmaster and honestly, they do the same job... just one costs a lot less.

I think it would be enough. The external heater got 16mm hose connections.
Just make sure it fits your cannister hose.

You only need to fit it to one filter, and yes, the 300w will be sufficient for your tank. They are fitted on the outlet hose of your filter with push on fittings, so very easy to fit.
