Hey, everyone:

May i ask that how do you reduce the size of your photo?
I have seen ppl posting beautiful and clear pics on this forum.
How do you do it?

If 128k is the limit, how do you cope with it?

many thx

revkev, the only problem with using photobucket is when the pictures are that small, its often hard to see the details of the tank and some people just cant be bothered to click on it for the bigger picture...

Vince, when i downsize the file of my pictures it makes the picture smaller aswell? Have you managed to make the files under 128k? or are you having problems doing this? :?

In regards to revkev's tank, its fantastic !! LOL

It depends on the quality of the camera used aswell...

I use microsoft office picture manager to downsize my photo's and most of my pictures are crystal clear...

When you take the pictures, they are often over 800k..

So thats why you have to downsize the file to under 128k..

You can use microsoft office picture manager as i do...or you could use photoshop or any other programs similar... :D

2 easy ways I do it

1. Open the images using the program Paint ( windows comes with it )

2. Go on Image its the tool bar ,,and select Stretch / Skew

3. See the horizontal and vertical boxes % ,, put in say 50 % and save.

It will reduce the size heaps! Keep reducing untill you get under the 128k limit.

you can check the size of the file by putting your mouse over the file itself and wait a second. or right click on teh file go to poroperties and check it there.

OR

If you use Microsoft Office Picture Manager

1. Click on teh image

2. Click on Edit

3. Simply reduce the % ratio in the boxes in front of you.

hope this helps

I downloaded a program called pixresizer for free of the net...recommended by proteus and it is wonderfully easy....
Once I use pixresizer to resize them I then upload them to photobucket and then I can post them on to the page using the image link thing that they provide.. I just copy the link, paste it on my post page and then when I post it the pictures come up.

I would post the link to pixresizer but for some reason I cant find the post anywhere!!
Maybe Proteus could re post it if he still has the link... Proteus.....? thanks....

Hope that helps...
