does any one no roughly how much an 8 watt philips globe will cost

On the globe it has;
PHILIPS
TUV 8W/G8 T5
M.I.HOLLAND

if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

In Australia Philips only stock 5w, 9w, 11w, 18w & 36w TUV tubes (PL-S or PL-L type).

You may be lucky and find a medical supplier who might have some 8w tubes on hand, but other than that, it is not a typical tube type.

The replacement globes are made by Sylvania.

I ordered 2 10000K Aquastars from my local electrical wholesaler. Not only did I not have to buy 48 but I also got them cheaper than the listed price.

I would suggest calling the company on that website and asking who your local distributer is.

My previous comment was purely tongue in cheek... although 48 tubes would last a long time.
