I can't believe it ... I can't believe the way it's being marketed ... poor fishies.
I have pairs of fighters in my 4 ft tanks, it's never actually occured to me to actually fight them.

put the males or in fact the males and females together and its a royal rumble!

saying that its rather inappropriate and should be frowned againts. (unless of course you are into breeding bettas.)

I have pairs in 4ft tanks alongside other fish. The male chases the female sometimes, but it's never vicious or incessant. If kept appropriately with some hiding spots it's possible to keep them like this. They don't of course spawn in community tanks, for that you need a seperate tank. I would however never put 2 males into the same tank together.

Thats' disgusting. They are a beautiful looking fish when all their fins are fully grown and they have some absolutely brilliant colours - why do that to something so beautiful?.

Not much different from the Breeders of Pit Bulls.

And to add insult to injury, they usually call themselves "Animal Lovers".

Words fail me - and I can usually give an opinion on just about anything    .

Regards,

Marg.
