I have a problem with this discus, it seems he is stressfull, look at his eyes, I think the size of his eyes are different to normal discus, I have t his fish with another discus that dont have any kind of problem, Im feeding them with artemia, I got this dicus few days ago, I believe that a mistake that I made was not to measure to the PH that the fish brings when it was in the aquarium

the characteristics of the water are:

PH 6.6
KH 3
GH 3
Tmp 29
Amoniac and nitrits 0

I accept any suggestion.

notice that the white spots are of the crystal

not sure bout his illness but large eyes normally indicate a stunted fish, dont needa dump him or anything because of it he'll just always be a bit smaller. they look pretty big, is brine shrimp their only food?

Hello Michin_Malaqui and welcome to the forum. It's a little difficult to tell from the photos, but you fish appears to be a little skinny. What are you feeding the discus.

He looks about 5 or 6 months old, and at this age, he should be fed several times a day with a variety of good quality foods.

Start with a high protein food, like beefheart, other meals should consist of frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp and round it all out with a good quality flake or granule commercial food.

The cloudy film over the eye could indicate that your tank water was a lower pH than the tank he came from.

For the moment, I'd be offering lots of nutritious food, and keeping the water very clean, by changing some of the water every day.

Hope that helps, and please keep us posted.
