Hi
After I feed my discus the outline of my blue diamond discus eyes turn red and sometimes starts to bully the other fish. But this lasts for about a minute or 2. Is this normal? The other other discus are fine.
Thanks
John

viagra?

Only last few minutes, nothing to worry about. I think he/she is trying to chase others because of the food.

I have found my larger discus have red eyes, but intensity relates to mood, like thier body, and its usually when they are stressed or fighting its real bright, or when they are very relaxed

A red eye or a yellow eye is both normal and correct in discus, depending on the base colour of the fish.

Most people seem to prefer a bright red eye, so the asian breeders have been selectively breeding for this in their breeding stock.
