Hi All,

Just posting some pictures of my new setup.

48x18x18 Dalbarb setup (pic 1) holds about 250L and will soon be home to 6 lucky discus.

Gday Dee,

Im quite happy with how it has ended up myself!

As for the discus going into it - I am not 100% certain yet, but they will be making their way to Oz on the next shipment from SLS.

I will post pics of the residents when they arrive.

hi there
isnt two pumps and filter too much volume of water flow in a small tank 4ft x18 x18 for discus? i find only one of those would just be enough on my tanks. and far as i know that discus likes slow flow water.

Hey Piranha,

Those canisters are rated for 900lph but that is without media. I have packed them full of eheim ehfisubstrat and seachem matrix and this has slowed the flow rate down to approx 500lph giving a total filtration of 1000lph. This flow rate should be ok - and obviously as the filter gets clogged up a little, it will slow down even further so it will be fine...
