There was a post a long time ago where Rod was explaining the finer legal points (AQIS rules) of keeping and breeding certain fish in Australia, the fact that he had received several visits from the powers that be and that change would come about due to pressure from Aquaculturists, the big boys in the industry.
Unfortunately I can't find the post but below is a link to a report commissioned by the Australian Government which is now open for comment from all stakeholders including hobbyists. It's a very long but interesting read and has ramifications for most of us in the hobby one way or another if the strategies are implemented.
