I had eggs...!

I have a 150l planted tank with 5 discus and on NYE my Red Melon (who has been flirting with my Blue Diamond all week) laid eggs on a plant leaf.

Well she ate them all by NY day - but I just wanted to share how pleased I was to learn their sexes! :D

Now just have to wait till I see something from my Blue Turk, Penang Eruption and San Merah...!

By the way - what would Red Melon X Blue Diamond babies look like...?

Congrats ,thats awesome. Hopefully the pair are male and female. I've had a pair that lays eggs once a fortnight for the last 3 months but the eggs never fertilize.

They are my lesbian pair!

The red melon laid some eggs again on Monday though I did not see the blue diamond fertilize them. They are in a community planted tank so I'm not sure what will happen with the eggs.

Its been about 40 hours now and they are taking turns in guarding the eggs.

What fun!
