Hey People,

Where abouts can I get hold of an aging drum in the sydney area? I need one that is around 150L, and will have a tap thing in the bottom....

Bunnings ?

I got mine from Melco Mitre Ten for $35 and i'm not sure if it was food safe though but i have done many w/c with it and nothing gone wrong just gave it a nice clean.

Hi Grant,

dont go to bunnings mate, way to $$$$

Some other Sydney siders might be able to lead you in the right direction for a "food/water safe" Drum.

Cheers

Try a home brew shop. They get the ones used for transporting olives or cherries so you know they are food grade. As far as taps in the bottom they should be able to help out as i was told people use the drums to store and make wine.

My drums didn't come with a tap only 2 holes in the top so i cut off the top of the drum and drilled a hole in the bottom and fitted a tap to it very easy :D

Try reverse garbage in Marrickville.
They sell water barrel for $5-$15 depending on size.
They also have filter wool, $5 for one garbage bag.
