Hi Allan,

Very nice fish, I like the uniformity of the spotting ... in particular the second pic. Brew3, when you say natural shape do you mean like the "wild form/body shape" ? ... I like them :thumb

Cheers,

Dee :)

Hi Sanie,
Those are Wayne's fish, they are Giant SS and 8" in size.
I was planning to buy some when I was over there, I was unable to bring some back as I had a stopover in Beijing visiting my sister maybe next time.

Mario,

Thanks for posting pics of the Giant SS's, they are truly impressive fish

One question, to get a fish that big ... is it a case of heavy feeding and pristine water specs, or does genetics of the fish play a role too ? I assume it would be selective breeding and quality care combined ... just thought I would ask :)

Cheers,

Dee :)

Hi Dee,
Genetics do play a major role in it, selective breeding and quality care, he feeds them three to four times per day and change approx. 100% of the water.

Mario,
No surprise. Wayne's the master of Discus.................
With Giants like that, it's no surprise that those belongs to Wayne...........
I only managed to grow mine up to 7".
But wait for my BK to grow full size. They'll be giants too.................
Hoping they could grow to something close to 8".

Hi Sanie,
I have seen some blue knights 8" long and the height about 10", size of a dinner plate.
