100g of fresh salmon
100g of boneless fish fillets
100g of orange prawns (shelled and deveined)
100g of scallops (with roe)
2 tablespoon of spirulina flakes
2 tablespoon of color bits
2 tablespoon of sera discus red
2 tablespoon of sera discus blue
2 tablespoon of sera discus premium
2 tablespoon of wheat grass powder
1 medium carrot (cooked)
1 medium banana
2 tablespoons of wheat germ
1 tablespoons of lecithin
1 crushed multivitamin
3 cloves of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon tumeric

1) Wash all seafood lightly in running water, then run all seafood through mincer twice to combine together and to make into very small pieces.
2) Combine garlic, carrot, banana, wheat germ and lecithin together. Run through mincer twice.
3) Add in powdered up dry foods, wheat grass powder, tumeric, paprika and multivitamin, stirring into mixture thoroughly.
4) Run through mincer to combine all ingredients well and then freeze into sheets using grease-proof paper.

Note: Feed as part of balanced diet with brine/mysis shrimp, bloodworms and breeders premium (well that’s what I use with it anyway!)…

Grant,
Great varied beef heart mix, but can i be honest and please doing get upset.

I think there is too much multivitamins in a mix of that size.

I would be inclined to add only one crushed tablet, which would be more than enough. :D

Adding more is not necessarily better. :)

Other than that it is an excellent mix and thanks for sharing!

Cheers

Hi Ben,

No offence taken at all!

Thanks for the suggestion - I have now changed my recipe accordingly :)

Always good to have a number of points of view.

Thanks mate

In fact - I have now edited the alteration into the recipe up the top of the thread.

Any other recommendations people ?

i find that powdered spirulina works very well. i think it would particularly be benefitial to young fish. IMO

Yeh - totally agree GP.

The spirulina flakes are powdered up in my recipe (although it obviously isnt spirulina powder - it should be close enough).

Spot on now Grant!

The spirulina flakes will be fine, instead of raw spirulina it has some binding agents.

Will still do the trick!
