Been reading about this in length and might give it a go as a something to try job not as trying to ave money cause i think it would work out at the same price. And hey if it works I'll have a new tank!

While they are mainly a SaltWater info site, there are lots of DIY plans there.

Been thinking about doing this for a while, as i love my DIY but just havent had time to get a good shot at it. Just learnt how too drill glass and iam still not fully confident in doing that yet.

well i have done some reading and thought and have decided that I will only use 2 pices of the ply wood and make the rest in tas oak and useing liquid nails for glue cause its water proof and then paint and then the glass and........then.....the water test with aquarium seal on all joins and the glass ofcourse. So hopeful the hard wook will be strong enough for suports as well as look good and use bolts at the main joints and hide them up most write ups just say ues a lot of screws......... I don't see that lasting for a big tank lol.
so in a few wekks when I have the money I let you all know how its going!
Wish me luck! 8)
