That tail light assembly on the merc, is the most japanese lookin german car ive seen in a while?! whoa and the fully sick grilles on the side.. step back!

The only thing thats remotely interestin bout the merc is the side exit exhausts.

That merc does 0 - 100 in 3.8 seconds. A lamborghini murcielago does it in 3.7

The 575 Maranello does it in 4.2 seconds
the ferarri enzo does it in 3.65

The enzo is a bit garish, but i prefer any of the italian cars over the mercedes... Just my opinion tho...

Dont kid yourself GP, that merc isnt FASTER then any ferarri... There are ferarris faster then the merc..

The only down said is the Mercedes emblem, being that it is mainly McLaren it should be badged that way.

littlefish gold coast traffic isnt vthat bad mate. i can get to the beach in aprox 12 mins from where i am and i live on acreage.... secret pocket of it in suburbia lol. i can ride there in like 25 mins. not to bad lol

benny it might be 0.1 second slower but i am mainly going for the looks in the different cars. u have to admit that we rnt even alowed to go past 120 on the highways.... so whats the good of that. in regards to me liking the speed of subaru WRX that is a rally car designed for offroad. there isnt really anywhere u can take one of these cars and let er rip......

this car is much more *pretty* than any ferrari. by a long shot in my oppinion.

Aww dont be ragging on the Maclaren SLR. Yeah its not the fastest, but it gives good compromise between speed, comfort and usability. Its the fastest automatic car around (to my knowledge) and I think thats a good thing since i cant drive a stick :) Who doesn't love a sl55 amg/sl500? Now imagine it faster :) I see more of them around sydney then exotic sport's cars like the ferarri and lambos.

I think the SLR also does heaps good with reliability.

Also, dont be forgetting that there are wonderful things in Europe. One particular thing is the Autobahn in Germany. What are speed limits? Though some sections have speed limits, there are ample opportunities to give it your best. Suppose thats why fast cars are more popular in Europe.

Sounds like you've got a good posi there, Junior. 20 minutes to the beach on a pushbike! Strewth, if you had that Merc you could be at the beach before you leave home!

Other spots ain't so good. Sunday before last, my son's Pulsar took 15 minutes to crawl the 2km (approx) from North Street to Waterways Drive at Southport. Even the doof-doof music coming out of his rear speakers didn't help.

Anyway, ya all wrong. The best car ever made was the Datsun 120Y!!

As far as the whole SLR situation, gorgous car..not worth the money, even if you have that money to spend..so many nicer supercars imo
