The fish is still eating fine and hasnt gone dark at all and isnt hidding, acting normal just concerned about this little piece missing.

i tried taking a pic and this is the best i could do, the piece is missing at the top of the eye in the black area, you can see the u shape roughly

Hi axl, nothing to worry about. It's a mild defect called a chipped eye. It won't affect your fish in any way. It will still live, eat, and breed normally.

There is no treatment required. Just enjoy your fish. :P

Hi Axl,

It is a permanent damage caused by an infection....most likely when it was very young...maybe during wriggler stage or the first month of life.

As ladyred said, it is cause further complication.

Take care,
Andrew :angel
