Hey Everyone,

I finally set up a 3ft tank BB for just Discus and was woundering how long it would take before i add some Discus to the tank?

I'm using Seachem Stability and also added some plants.

I don't really want to take this risk of just reading the bottle so I thought I would ask u all.

A fully established tank is when there is no ammonia and nitrite I don't no if i'm correct?

Thanks for all your help

THANKS

Hi Rick, leave it for one week to let it fully cycled before you add any fish.

After one week, buy one small cheap fish first to try.

If it survive for 2-3 days, then u can start add more expensive fish.

Well, I do this when I setup a new tank, I just dont want to risk it.

Good luck

Hi Mulisha
I have never had any problems using the Stability 7 day method
I just added fish slowly after that
I have in an emergency (spawning)placed fish in a new tank after only 3 days using Stability
Cheers Max

Have a read up the the fishless cycling thread. It's cheaper than using name brand products and it makes your test kits go all sorts of funky colours. I've used it will great success many times in the past, just follow the instructions carefully. I've never used Seachem Stability so I can't comment on it.
