Well done rossco. Congratulations. You should get a lovely mix of red coloured fry from that pairing, with perhaps a 50/50 mix of melon and marlboro youngsters.

Good luck.

thx all, i am thrilled to say the least.
I will take more pics tonight or tommorow and post em.
50/50 mix of melons and marlboro's....by golly! Thats the best of both worlds :D

That male Marlboro red, i cant see or find any black peppering in him at all.
SLS sure do sell the best stock i have seen to date. And that Red Melon female, just a beuty!

Need to get some 5 mm and 10 mm sringe's from the my local pharmacy soon, i always found squirting unfrozen baby brine shimp worked a treat on the young, after about 5-7 days of free swimming i used to give em a small spray. They always took it greedily.

Well...
The fry became all free swimming and it looked to me that the perents did not know what to do.The fry where swimming in tank but not on the parents flanks. The fry are all gone now,i am guessing they ate them.

Is this normal for new parent discus to be like this?
Is it a learning thing about how to signal the fry to come onto there flanks?
Should i worry? or will the parents become better and better in time?

Abit sad i must say.

Thanks for any advice in advance.
