I would like to gain more knowledge in fresh water fish diseases. Can anyone recommend any good books on the subject?

I already have dieter Untergasser's book "discus health" Even though this is a great book i am after literature that is more complex and in depth.

I would like to help others in this forum more when it comes to fish diseases.

Cheers

Heya Ben,

The best book I have seen for fresh water fish diseases is Gerald Bassleer's 'The New Illustrated Guide to Fish Diseases' , has some great info and a great selection of pictures of symptoms etc (some pretty nasty pictures of diseases). There is also a section on discus disease (plague) whatever you want to call it, with some very intresting theory's about it. Also includes a section on medications and dosage rates. Overall a great upto date book IMO. He has a few books out on fish diseases from memory, try ebaying 'bassleer' you should get a few of his books come up. HTH

Cheers,

Dee :)
