Hey Guys,

I am just thinking whether a golden pigeon blood would pepper ? Like as in a pearl pidgeon - but golden for example. Or like, a golden traditional marlboro red ?

What you think?

All pigeon based fish will have the peppering genes in them...if u are very lucky u may find a pigeon with no peppering or very few dots but they are often expensive...

Hiya G-1000,

I have a golden pigeon blood, and he is quite speckled. He isn't as speckled as some pigeon bloods I have seen, but I think with pigeon bloods you can generally expect them to get more peppering the older they are, and the more exposure to lights they have. Correct me if I'm wrong anybody. :) I paid $75 for this one btw.

Head over to B&C aquariums in Matraville. Good store good fish & very good prices. Got this bad boy for $85 & you could count the black spots on him on 1 hand.

The peppering on my PB has decreased to next to none as it's gotten older.
