A few pictures of some pure blue Turks and a few which are a red rose x brilliant blue.

I give them twice daily water changes around %80, and pump them full of my beef heart as well as some brine shrimp and dried discus foods.

I would like to hang onto some of these as there are some excellent colour/shaped babies, but soon they all will have new homes to go to across the country!

Cheers
Ben

WOW thats like 95% w/c !! Are u using the water from the drum next to the tank for the w/c ??
Since u doing 2-3 w/c a day, does that mean u got more drums to age the water ?

Hi Dr V,
I use that drum next to the tank for water changing.
As my water is OK...i water change the tank with water from the drum, refill the drum, put the airstone in and plug the heater back in. I then do the next water change 8 hours later, or there abouts.

cheers

Picture update!

i have sold all the pure turk babies but still have a few of the red rose x brillant blue turk babies left.

their colours are just starting to come through now but it will still be a few months to see exactly what they look like.
my guess is something like a brown alenquer.

cheers

gotta give it to ya ben, thats dedication. 90% water changes twice a day is something only the most dedicated can acheive and it shows... your fish are growing really fast.

Just a question, do u use water conditioners? (cause thats a lot of water conditioner u have to go through if ur doing twice daily water changes)

Thanks Paul!
yes it is hard work but at the end of the day i enjoy it very much.

I dont use water conditions at all, the water is aged for 10-12 hours in a drum which is heated and lightly airated.

I made it easy and put the drum next to the tank.

cheers

I have gotten a bit lazy and now the simple flick of a switch a pump fills the tank...
